Stylish, warm and super comfortable, our cosy hand-knitted Aran helmet hat in 100% merino wool is a contemporary take on the classic bobble hat, with ear flaps on either side to protect delicate ears in cooler weather. The natural elasticity of the wool means it will fit any child aged from 1 to 6 years. A wonderful gift for newborns, christenings, birthdays or Christmas. The helmet hat comes in two types of merino yarn, in different colourways. Choose denim blue, silver grey or classic báinin in 100% soft Donegal merino wool, or baby blue, blush pink or cream in finest 100% Italian Sesia merino wool, which is renowned for its exquisite softness and fine texture.

When cared for properly, wool will last a long time, keeping you snug for years to come.

Cleaning
You can spot clean wool easily using water or a suitable spot-cleaning spray. To wash the whole item, we recommend gentle hand washing with a mild wool detergent, reshaping the item by hand and drying it flat, as hanging it from a line or rack may over-stretch the wool. Take care not to soak items for too long (no more than 20 minutes) as the wool may shrink and become hard.

Alternatively, most of our sweaters can be dry cleaned. Always check the care label first.

DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR TUMBLE DRY your sweater or any other merino wool product, or dry it on a radiator.

Ironing
For our merino blankets, a gentle pressing with an iron will keep the yarn flat. Just make sure to have the iron on the ‘wool’ setting and to put a damp muslin or fine cloth between the iron and the wool to protect it.

Storage
Store your woollens clean and folded, preferably in a plastic storage bag or vacuum bag to protect against moths.
